On Saturday, 8th of October the 14th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition began. It lasted until Sunday, 23rd of October.Violin plus sheet musicThis Competition has been held every 4 years since 1952 in Poznan. Young people aged 16 to 32 years old, from different countries, could take part in the contest. This year about 50 people attended the Wieniawski Competition.

The first stage took place from the 9th to 13th of October, the second from the 13th to 16th this month, the third – 17th to 18th this month and the fourth stage –19th to 21st also this month.

The main prize is 30.000 Euro and a Gold Medal, second position – 20.000 Euro and a Silver Medal, third position – 12.000 Euro and a Bronze Medal, and three honorary distinctions of 5.000 Euro.

Soyoung Yoon is a laureate of the 14th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition.

The second position – Miki Kobayashi, the third – Stefan Tarara, and the honorary distinctions: Erzhan Kulibaev, Aylen Pritchin and Arata Yumi. Polish – Maria Włoszczowska won 12 violin lessons.

I was on the second stage of 14. International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition and I wasn’t to the end, but I think, it’s very important to be on the event, which is every 5 years ! But when it comes to classical music – I don’t mind it.
